cal's noob question

I don't want to sound too inept with InDesign, but how do you make the bar codes?

I'm just using a fake one I get from barcode producer ( http://www.intellisw.com/barcodeproducer/ ) for now

Since these don't have to scan, you can get pretty abstract: thus, I suggest just using the rectangle tool to make a few bars. That way you can really control the size and proportion of space between the bars.

Best technique is probably to draw a rectangle, switch to the black arrow and ALT/OPTION+Click-drag to drag out a copy to make sure they're the same height, then repeat a few times. Once you have a few rectangles you can fuss with the width/spacing to make it look vaguely bar code-ish

I've just been making lines and changing the weight... perhaps a bit easier than using rectangles? Not sure.
